CYCLING PHOTOGRAPHY
At the October, 2009, "14th Triennial Symposium On The History Of Photography" at George Eastman House in Rochester, New York, Lorne Shields presented a slide show of bicycle related photographic images to The Photographic Historical Society. This international event occurs once every 3 years where presenters are selected from applicants in a 1:3 ratio. Beginning at 4:15 p.m. on the Friday afternoon, in advance of the Saturday auction, this same 45 minute presentation of images dating from 1849 - 1931 will be shown free of charge. (Donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will be appreciated.) Don't miss this opportunity to view, among others, rare examples of Daguerreotypes, Ambrotypes, Platinum Prints, Carbon Prints, Woodburytypes, Cyanotypes, Albumen Prints, & Tintypes.
