www.copakeauction.com | About Copake Auction Inc.

Copake Auction Inc. has been the longest running auction house in Columbia County for over 50 years. Mike Fallon purchased the auction gallery in 1985 and was joined by his son, Seth Fallon, in 1995.

We are members of the New York State and National Auctioneers Associations, as well as, the International Society of Appraisers and New England Appraisers Association. We have been consultants to the Wallace-Homestead Price Guide of American Country Antiques since 1989.

Our auction house specializes in Americana sales, these are always catalogued which means each item sells in a specific order and each item is described, measured, and it's value estimated. We have found that having a catalog is a very useful tool for our customers.

We also conduct annual specialty auctions including our antique bicycle auction, which is the largest of its kind and draws people to Columbia County from around the United States and abroad, and our annual textile auction.

    FAQ

    Q. Do you sell single items or primarily estates?
    A. We have had great success selling entire estates and single items. Quality counts over quantity.

    Q. Do you take everything in an estate?
    A. We generally try to maintain a certain quality in our sales which would prohibit us from taking everything in some estates, but we do buy lesser quality 揻lea market?type items which we can sell in our annual tag sales.

    Q. Do you take items on commission basis only or will you buy items or estates outright?
    A. We offer both services, we will take items for commission or buy outright.
